A determined Uttoxeter mum is feeling like a new woman after losing four-and-a-half stone in less than six months.
Paige Martin has swapped comfort food for healthy eating to feel the fittest she has ever felt.
Crucially, her dramatic weight loss means she is a lot healthier to support her eight-year-old son Connor, who has autism spectrum disorder.
The 27-year-old mum says she got the wake-up call she needed last summer, when she used junk food to make herself happy, while battling feelings of isolation.
Paige, who is a full-time carer to her disabled son, said: “Last summer was really hot, but I was walking around wearing coats and cardigans because I wasn’t confident enough about my weight. In August, I thought to myself that I don’t want to feel like this next summer.
“I have a disabled son which can be really isolating, so I found food a big comfort. I couldn’t do anything physical with my son before. “I would just drive him everywhere. I used to be shattered just walking up the stairs, and I didn’t want to put make-up on or do my hair before work.
